Ayesha Khan

Ayesha Khan is a Senior Research Fellow at ODI since February 2023, bringing extensive experience from previous roles, including Director and Senior Researcher at the Collective for Social Science Research from September 2002 to December 2021. Ayesha served as a Visiting Faculty Member at the Institute for Business Administration, Karachi University from January 2019 to June 2020 and worked as a Development Consultant for the UN and various domestic and international clients from January 1994 to August 2002. Ayesha's career began as a freelance journalist from December 1989 to February 1996, focusing on gender, development, health, and human rights topics, along with contributions to BBC World Service. Ayesha holds a PhD in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies (2021-2022), an MA in South Asian Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (1988-1989), and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Yale University (1983-1987).
