Dora Meredith

Director, ODI Europe at Overseas Development Institute

Dora is the Director of ODI Europe. She has over a decade of experience in national and international policy and strategy roles, working in partnership with the highest levels of government, industry, academia, and civil society.

Before joining ODI, Dora was the Head of Programmes at the Institute for the Future of Work, a think tank exploring how new technologies are transforming work and working lives. In this role, she designed and delivered strategic and impactful programmes and oversaw external affairs.

Prior to this, Dora worked in a variety of public policy roles in the UK and internationally. She was based in Brussels for the UK’s national innovation agency, Innovate UK, working with European Institutions and Member States on research and innovation. She undertook a secondment to the British Embassy in Washington, D.C., and also acted as Senior Coordinator of the UK’s Chairmanship of Eureka, an intergovernmental network.

Dora has an MSc from the University of Oxford where she focused on social mobility and social inequalities, and a BA in History and Politics from the University of Birmingham.
