Hans Peter Lankes

Hans Peter Lankes is an experienced leader in economic policy and development, currently serving as the Managing Director and Deputy Chief Executive of ODI since October 2022, and as a Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science since January 2021. Lankes also holds the position of Visiting Professor in Practice at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. Additional roles include Membership on the Investment Committee of ILX and Senior Fellow at the International Growth Centre. Previously, Lankes held significant positions at the International Finance Corporation and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as senior roles at the International Monetary Fund. Lankes earned a PhD in Public Policy from Harvard University and has advanced degrees in Economics and Government from Harvard Kennedy School and The University of Freiburg, among other academic accomplishments.
