Sylvain Marchand

Sylvain Marchand has a diverse work experience in the art industry. Sylvain started their career in 2006 as an Artist Assistant for DIDIER MARCEL / LILIAN BOURGEAT and continued in this role until 2014. From 2009 to 2015, Sylvain worked as a Freelance Art Handler for Tina Kim Gallery / KUKJE Gallery. In 2015, they joined Tina Kim Gallery as an Exhibition Manager, responsible for logistics, installations, and art fair booth design. Sylvain held this position until 2018 when they joined Pace Gallery. At Pace Gallery, Sylvain initially served as an Exhibition Manager and later became the Design Director in July 2021. Their role at Pace Gallery is ongoing.

Sylvain Marchand has a Master's Degree in Sculpture Volume Installation from the Royal Kunst Akademiet Oslo, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed a DNSEP (Master) in Sculpture at the Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts DIJON from 2006 to 2009. Sylvain also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sculpture Installation from the Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts, which they achieved from 2003 to 2006.
