Carl Defebo

Carl DeFebo has a diverse work experience, starting as a Military Policeman in the U.S. Army from October 1983 to October 1985. Carl then worked as an Editor at the Central Penn Business Journal from January 1990 to July 1995. Following that, Carl joined Moorehouse Communications as a Senior Account Executive from August 1995 to August 1999. Carl then joined the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) where they held various roles including Media & Public Relations Manager from September 1999 to July 2012, and currently, they serve as the Director of Communications and Customer Experience at the PTC. In their role, Carl acts as the chief spokesperson for the PTC, oversees crisis-communications planning and response, and ensures the timely and accurate dissemination of public information during emergencies and incidents.

Carl DeFebo completed their high school education from Susquehanna Township High School between the years 1978 and 1982. Carl then pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in English from PennWest Edinboro, from 1986 to 1989.
