Richard Watson

Richard Watson is an experienced corporate executive with a strong background in economics and finance. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Infrastructure and Finance and Executive Director Economic at the Department of Treasury WA since May 2014, Richard leads a division focused on economic and revenue forecasts, significant economic issues, revenue policy, and Commonwealth-State financial relations. Richard also holds director positions at Gold Corporation - The Perth Mint and Synergy, and previously worked as a Senior Manager at PwC and an Assistant Director at the Department of Treasury and Finance (WA). Richard's academic credentials include a Master of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Economics from Murdoch University.
