Rebecca Warren has worked in various roles spanning business intelligence analysis, physics teaching, academic research, and editorial work. Between 2021 and 2022, they were the Head of Physics at St. George's School in Edinburgh, while they had earlier worked as a Physics Teacher in the same school from 2017 to 2021. Before that, they completed a secondment with the Department of Education through the Researchers in Schools program, which had also helped their attain qualified teacher status. Additionally, Warren worked as a freelance editor at Edanz Group Ltd, served as a postdoctoral researcher at Linköping University/Karolinska Institutet, and had a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Glasgow. Rebecca had also held research and assistant roles at the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre and UK Astronomy Technology Centre, respectively. Rebecca Warren has an extensive education history, having studied at multiple universities. In 2000, they obtained their B.Sc(Hons) degree in Physics at The University of Edinburgh. Following that, in 2004, they earned an M.Sc in Archaeological Science from the University of Oxford. In 2006, they pursued an M.Res in Proteomic Technologies at the University of Glasgow. Later, in 2007, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, also from the University of Glasgow. In 2016, they earned a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Northampton. In 2022, they completed a Data Science Bootcamp program in Data Science & Machine Learning at HyperionDev. And finally, in 2023, they gained some expertise in Mathematical Statistics and Probability at The University of Edinburgh.
