The Pike School
Tobin Spector has a diverse range of work experience. Their most recent position was as the Head of the Math Department and Upper School Math Teacher at The Pike School, where they started in July 2020. Prior to that, they were a Masters Student at the American College of Education starting in September 2019. From October 2019 to January 2020, they served as a Long Term Substitute Math Teacher at Daniel Joyce Middle School, where they created lesson plans and implemented differentiation techniques for multiple math classes. Before that, Tobin was an Upper School Mathematics Teacher at Applewild School from August 2018 to June 2019, where they taught multiple math sections and served as an advisor. Tobin also has experience as an Athletic Director and Middle School Mathematics Teacher at Statesville Montessori School, where they developed a comprehensive curriculum and adapted teaching methods for individual students. Additionally, Tobin has professional experience as a golfer and as a Store Manager at N3L Optics.
Tobin Spector completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business-Mathematics from Skidmore College from 2004 to 2008. Later, from 2019 to 2021, Tobin pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education.
The Pike School
The Pike School is an independent, coeducational day school located on 35 woodland acres in Andover, Massachusetts. Its comprehensive and sequential program provides education to students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 9. Small class size and individual attention allow for social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of the students within the context of the school community. The Pike School history extends back to 1926 when Cynthia E. Pike started educating six students in her home.
