Kenon Thomas, CPA, CFE has a diverse range of work experience in financial reporting, budgeting, project accounting, and audit. Kenon currently holds the position of Director of Financial Reporting & Budget at The Port of Virginia, where they have been since June 2022. Starting in 2006, they attended James Madison University where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting in 2010. Following that, they continued their education at James Madison University and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Accounting in 2011. In 2012, Kenon obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Virginia Board of Accountancy. Furthermore, in 2016, they obtained the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). In 2022, Kenon attended Virginia Wesleyan University to pursue a Certificate Program in Environmental Sustainability.
