Thomas Pouncy

Thomas started his career as a software engineer at a tech start-up where he helped build the company from the ground up, eventually serving as the company's Chief Technology Officer. For the past 6 years, he has worked toward earning his PhD in Psychology from Harvard, where he leveraged sophisticated statistical models and tools (e.g., model-based reinforcement learning and Bayesian inference) to better understand how students learn the rules of new environments. At TPZ, Thomas will report to Jeremy and will lead their growing efforts around institutional research, working with Salma and colleagues across all departments within TPZ to establish systems and processes for using data to continuously improve how they operate and learn as an organization.
