Zach Fredin

Zach Fredin is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in engineering, education, and project management. Currently serving as the Senior Machining and Electronics Education Technician at The Possible Zone since September 2023, Zach oversees machinery operations and teaches students. Previously, as a Maker-in-Residence at the same organization, Zach engaged in digital fabrication, project production, and staff training. Zach’s experience includes leading instrumentation at Commonwealth Fusion Systems and working as a Tokamak Instrumentation Engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, alongside co-founding NeuroTinker, LLC to develop neuroscience education tools. Additional roles encompass diverse positions in engineering and management at companies like Jasper Engineering & Equipment Co., Precision Castparts, and Sawyer Technical Materials, supported by educational qualifications from MIT and Case Western Reserve University in engineering disciplines.
