Lauren Skelly Bailey is a multifaceted visual and ceramic artist with extensive teaching experience in the arts. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Nassau Community College and previously at Iona College and Concordia College-New York, Lauren specializes in ceramics and 3D design. As an instructor at The Potter's Wheel, Lauren leads hand building and wheel throwing classes while also conducting glaze workshops. Additionally, Lauren operates a freelance art education practice, teaching various ceramic techniques. As a sculptor, Lauren emphasizes ceramic materials but also explores drawing, printmaking, and other mediums. With a strong educational background, including a Master of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design, Lauren combines artistic practice with pedagogy, inspiring students and the community alike.
