David Smith

David Smith is an experienced mental health professional with a strong background in substance use disorder treatment and counseling. Currently serving as a Primary Counselor at The Pride Institute since July 2022, David previously held positions as Lead Counselor at Elite Recovery of MN, Counselor Supervisor at New Beginnings and Latitudes Outpatient Services, and Director of Client Services at Saint Paul Sober Living. David's expertise includes program development and clinical supervision, having designed a Criminal Thinking/Chemical Dependency Outpatient Treatment program and supervised multiple counselors and interns. With a Master of Education degree from Lesley University and credentials as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor from Metro State University, David has a comprehensive educational foundation supporting his professional achievements.
