Joseph Figliomeni completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto, attending from 1999 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications over the years. In 2019, they completed the "Excel Business Intelligence Part 3: Power Pivot and DAX" course from LinkedIn, as well as the "Excel Data Visualization Part 2: Designing Custom Visualizations" course. In 2019, they also completed the "Digital Transformation for Leaders" course from LinkedIn. In 2017, they obtained the "Certified Change Practitioner" certification from Prosci. Finally, in 2016, they achieved the "Lean Six Sigma Black Belt" certification from Simplilearn.
