Leyla Boumans

Leyla Boumans has extensive legal experience spanning several decades, currently serving as a DPO in training and privacy officer at The Privacy Factory since 2020. Boumans has operated an independent consultancy, Boumans CS, since 1995, offering comprehensive legal advice in areas such as corporate law, franchising, contracts, and intellectual property. Prior to this, Leyla contributed as a company lawyer at Intergamma B.V. from 2000 to 2018, and held various legal advisor positions at Wageningen University & Research and Utrecht University in 1998 and 1999. Earlier roles included serving as an all-round bedrijfsjurist at Koninlijke Metaalunie and as a researcher at Kamer van Koophandel. Leyla holds a Master of Laws degree from Utrecht University and has completed relevant courses in data protection.
