Agile Coach / Agile Transformation Support Lead at The Private Sector Group

Pearl Chan has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Pearl began their career at the University of Toronto-York University Canada-Hong Kong Resource Centre as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar and Principal Investigator from October 2003 to August 2004. Pearl then joined Indiana University as a Teaching Fellow and Instructor in Anthropology from August 2004 to July 2007.

After that, Pearl worked at SmartRevenue as an Ethnographic Consumer Insights Researcher from November 2011 to January 2014, and later as a Client Services Manager and Senior Ethnographer from February 2014 to August 2014.

In 2014, they became a Managing Consultant at ASR Analytics, LLC, where they worked until October 2017. Following this, they joined TFC Consulting, Inc. as a Technical Writer and Advisory Consultant from May 2018 to May 2019.

Currently, Pearl is employed at The Private Sector Group, LLC. as an Agile Coach and Agile Transformation Support Lead starting from May 2019.

Pearl Chan has a Bachelor of Arts (AB), magna cum laude, in Folklore and Mythology from Harvard University. Pearl also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Anthropology from Indiana University Bloomington. In addition to their formal education, Pearl has obtained several certifications. Pearl is certified in Agile Coaching and Agile Team Facilitation from ICAgile, with the certifications obtained in January 2022. Pearl is also a Certified SAFe® 6 Practice Consultant and a Certified SAFe® 5 Program Consultant, both obtained from Scaled Agile, Inc. The certification as a Certified SAFe® 5 Program Consultant was obtained in August 2020, while the certification as a Certified SAFe® 6 Practice Consultant was obtained in April 2023.
