Finance Manager at The QED Group

Isaac Businge Kandole-ACCA has a diverse work experience in finance and administration roles. Isaac started their career as a Finance Intern at Kampala Capital City Authority, where they gained experience in project budgeting, data analysis, and bank reconciliation. Isaac then worked as an Audit and Assurance trainee at Ruma Associates CPA, where they were involved in auditing savings and credit cooperative societies and small business enterprises.

Isaac then joined Kandole & Associates as an Audit Assistant, further expanding their auditing skills. Isaac later joined Cardno Emerging Markets USA Ltd. USAID/SDS Program as a Project Accountant, where they assisted with finance record-keeping and disbursements. Isaac was later promoted to Senior Program Accountant, responsible for project finances.

Isaac then transitioned to The QED Group as a Finance Officer, managing financial activities and implementing financial management controls. Isaac was later promoted to Senior Finance Officer, providing MEL support services and increasing USAID's capacity in implementing their initiatives.

After their tenure at The QED Group, Isaac joined The Kaizen Company as a Finance and Administration Specialist. Their responsibilities included overseeing financial and general office operations and providing budget oversight.

Most recently, Isaac has been working at Q2 Impact as a Finance Manager. Their responsibilities include overseeing financial management, operations, and processes. Isaac is also responsible for managing local staff, enforcing compliance with financial policies and procedures, and collaborating with USAID/Uganda to enhance their development impact.

Throughout their career, Isaac has demonstrated strong financial management skills and a commitment to improving organizational effectiveness within the development sector.

Isaac Businge Kandole-ACCA began their education in 2001 and obtained UACE & UCE UNEB Certificates from Paris Palais college & Namilyango College in 2006. In 2008, they enrolled at Management and Accountancy Training College and completed their ACCA degree in Professional Accounting and Management in 2014. During this time, in June 2014, they also obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from Makerere University.

Isaac then furthered their education at Oxford Brookes University from 2010 to 2012, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Accounting. To enhance their knowledge in the field, Isaac obtained the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants-ACCA certification from ACCA in June 2014. Their education journey continues as they pursue a Master of Business Administration - MBA degree with a specialization in International Supply Chain Management at Uganda Management Institute from 2018 to 2022.
