Ben Raskin

Ben Raskin serves as the Head of Agroforestry at the Soil Association since August 2006 and has contributed significantly to the field through various roles. Currently, Ben is an author for Chelsea Green Publishing, producing works such as "Silvohorticulture and The Woodchip Handbook," which focuses on utilizing woodchip for diverse agricultural applications. Additionally, Ben has authored multiple titles for The Quarto Group, including "Plant a tree and retree the world." In a project management capacity, Ben oversees agroforestry initiatives at Helen Browning Organics, implementing sustainable planting practices. Previous experience includes horticultural advisory roles, as well as management positions at organizations such as The Community Farm, Welsh College of Horticulture, Daylesford Organic, Garden Organic, and Gravetye Manor Hotel. Ben's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Ancient History from the University of Nottingham and a Diploma in Horticulture from the Royal Horticultural Society.
