Tamima Nasrin is an experienced professional in capacity building and gender equality initiatives. Currently serving as a Specialist in Capacity Building & Empowerment for a USAID project since February 2023, Tamima also holds the title of Commonwealth Young Leader with The Queen's Commonwealth Trust since August 2022, fostering global leadership connections to facilitate positive social changes within Commonwealth countries. As the Founder of SheEqual, established in January 2019, Tamima leads efforts to combat gender-based violence in Bangladesh through various programs including research, storytelling, and community awareness. Additionally, Tamima has worked as an Investigation Specialist at Transform Trade and previously held roles such as District Facilitator for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Street Law Trainer for Empowerment Through Law of the Common People. Currently pursuing an Associate's degree in the Feminist Edge Professional Development Program for Gender Trainers at KIT Institute, Tamima continues to enhance expertise in the field of gender equality and empowerment.
