Head Of Culture, Patient Safety And Human Factors at The Ralph (Veterinary Referral Centre)

Dan Tipney has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Dan is currently serving as the Head of Culture, Patient Safety, and Human Factors at The Ralph (Veterinary Referral Centre) since February 2019. Prior to this, they were a Founding Partner and Training Director at VetLed since January 2017.

Apart from their roles in the veterinary field, Dan also has significant experience in coaching and training. Dan has volunteered as a rowing coach at various locations since January 2002, working with individuals of all ability levels. Dan has held positions such as Pilot at TUI from February 2016 to November 2020 and First Officer and CRM Trainer at bmi regional from November 2010 to February 2016. Additionally, they have worked as a Flight Instructor at Wycombe Air Centre from April 2009 to October 2010.

Earlier in their career, Dan was engaged as Cabin Crew at British Midland International from July 2008 to March 2009. Furthermore, they have extensive experience in rowing coaching, having worked as the Head Rowing Coach at Claires Court Schools Ridgeway from September 2005 to July 2006 and as an Assistant Rowing Coach from May 2004 to August 2005.

Dan Tipney attended John Hampden Grammar School from 1997 to 2002, where they completed their GCSEs. Dan then went on to Sir William Borlase Grammar School from 2002 to 2004, where they earned their A-Levels. In 2006, they enrolled at Oxford Aviation Academy and studied commercial pilot studies, obtaining their ATPL degree in 2008. Additionally, in March 2002, Dan received the British Rowing Instructors award from British Rowing.
