Mel Day

Mel Day is an experienced software engineer and database expert with a strong background in cloud technologies and data science. Currently serving as a Library Clerk at Wayland Free Library Gunlocke Memorial, Mel Day also holds the position of Senior Cloud Database Engineer at The RealReal, focusing on NoSQL database engineering and Kubernetes applications. Previous positions include Software Engineer II at Digital Diagnostics, Senior Software Engineer at Zymergen, Inc., and various engineering roles at Uber ATG, with significant experience in managing large datasets and developing algorithms. Mel Day holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and is pursuing a Master of Library & Information Science from Syracuse University.
