Andrew Valainis

Andrew Valainis is an experienced professional in the fields of energy policy, sustainability, and program management. Currently serving as an Associate at the Regulatory Assistance Project since July 2023, Andrew previously held the position of Climate Action Program Coordinator for Missoula County, focusing on sustainable strategies including 100% clean electricity and carbon neutrality initiatives. As Executive Director of the Montana Renewable Energy Association from November 2016 to July 2022, Andrew managed organizational operations and led educational and advocacy programs on energy topics. Additional roles include Operations and Rider Manager at Climate Ride and various positions within AmeriCorps and engineering sectors. Andrew holds a Master's with Distinction in Energy Regulation and Law from Vermont Law and Graduate School and a Bachelor's in Ocean Engineering and Spanish from the University of Rhode Island.
