Leroy Mwasaru

Leroy Mwasaru is a multifaceted professional based in Nairobi, Kenya, currently serving as the Design Principal and Trustee at CampBuni since July 2017, where design-thinking led experiences for maker education have been developed in collaboration with organizations like Facebook Africa and iHub. As the Founder of Greenpact, initiated from a high school science project, Leroy aims to provide affordable renewable energy and improved sanitation to over 9 million Kenyan households. Additionally, Leroy holds a Fellowship with The Resolution Project, supporting socially responsible young leaders, and has contributed writings on entrepreneurship and social issues to Thrive Global and The Huffington Post. Leroy was also recognized as the Youngest Talent from Africa at the UNLEASH Innovation Lab for the Sustainable Development Goals and previously served as a Facilitation Fellow at Innovate Kenya. Education includes a degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership from the African Leadership Academy and earlier schooling at Maseno School and Newlight.
