Kyung Soo Carroll has extensive work experience in the culinary industry. Kyung Soo most recently served as the Director of Culinary Operations at The Resort at Pelican Hill. Prior to that, they worked as the Executive Chef at Fashion Island Hotel and Marriott Hotels. Kyung Soo also held roles as a Regional Executive Chef at Google for Bon Appétit Management Company, as well as Executive Chef positions at Hilton Worldwide, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Omni Shoreham Hotel, Grand Hyatt Washington, and Park Hyatt Washington. Kyung Soo'sroles have included overseeing large meeting spaces, managing farm operations, and leading banquet and sous chef teams.

Kyung Soo Carroll attended Yorktown High School from 1992 to 1996, where they did not earn a degree or specify a field of study. Later, from 1998 to 1999, Kyung Soo Carroll pursued an Associates in Culinary at Johnson & Wales University.
