Catharine Fulton has a diverse work background in the media industry. Catharine currently holds the position of Editor in Chief at The Reykjavík Grapevine, starting in November 2022. Previously, they worked as a Digital Media Editor and Content Specialist, responsible for creating engaging web copy and inbound marketing content for various industries. Catharine also served as a Newsletter Editor at the Toronto Star. From 2013 to 2019, Catharine worked at iPolitics as an Editor and News Brief Writer, where they compiled and deployed the daily political news brief for subscribers. Additionally, they worked as a Communications Specialist at Nordic Visitor from 2015 to 2018. Earlier in their career, Catharine held the role of Program Manager at WAN-IFRA, where they managed international media development programs and organized large-scale conferences.

Catharine Fulton has a diverse education history in the field of communication and intercultural studies. Their education journey began in 2003 when they enrolled at the University of Windsor, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2007, they pursued further education at two different institutions.

In the same year, they attended the University of Jyväskylä, focusing on Intercultural Communications. Catharine studied there for two years, from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, in 2007, they also briefly studied at USI Università della Svizzera italiana, where they obtained a degree in International and Intercultural Communication, known as EMICC.

Furthermore, to enhance their professional skills, Catharine obtained a Professional Diploma in Social Media Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute in April 2018.
