Rachel Moosa

Rachel Moosa has over 25 years of experience in human resources and leadership roles in the hospitality industry. Rachel is currently the Chief People Officer at The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Allegheny County Airport Authority, where they developed and implemented HR strategies to enhance the employee experience. Rachel also co-founded The Hospitality Gig, an online platform connecting hospitality industry employees with work opportunities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Rachel held various leadership positions at Accor, including Vice President of Learning and Development in North and Central America and Senior Vice President of Human Resources in the Middle East and Africa. Rachel also worked at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and InterContinental Hotels Group, where they focused on training and human resources. Rachel began their career as a Duty Manager at Gloria Plaza Hotel. Throughout their career, Rachel has demonstrated a strong commitment to employee development, culture building, and supporting teams through challenging times.

Rachel Moosa has a diverse and extensive education history. In 1999, they obtained a BA (Hons) degree in International Hospitality Management from the University of Central Lancashire. Rachel then pursued further education and, from 2006 to 2009, earned an MSc degree in Human Resource Management and Development from The University of Manchester.

In 2018, Rachel attended The Wharton School and completed an Associate Fellow program in Talent Management. Rachel also holds various certifications. In 2017, they became a Fellow of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development). In 2020, Rachel obtained the Global Talent Management Leader certification from the Talent Management Institute. In 2021, they achieved the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management). Their most recent certification was in 2022 when they completed the Organizational Thought Leadership program offered by LinkedIn.

Additionally, Rachel Moosa has completed the NLP Certificate in Executive Coaching from The Northern School of NLP, UK.
