Aliya Shariff

Ms Shariff is a Senior Advisor and member of the Africa Private Markets investment team. She is based in Kenya.

Prior to joining TRG in April 2023, Ms. Shariff was a Partner within Ethos, which was acquired by TRG in April 2023.

Prior to joining Ethos in 2020, Ms. Shariff was a Director at Kagiso Tiso Holdings and a Vice President at Africa Finance Corporation. She has led and managed investments across the African continent for over fifteen years in a variety of sectors, including infrastructure, industrials, consumer goods, financial services, and healthcare. She began her career in strategy consulting.

Ms. Shariff holds a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. She is fluent in French.
