The Romero Catholic Academy exists to secure 3-19 Catholic Education in Coventry. They are a multi-academy company and an integral part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham; their founders are the Barberi and Newman Academy Trust. They work closely with the Diocesan Department of Education, the Local Authority, the Department for Education, their local academies and schools, local business and commerce, and the wider community.

The senior matron and modern matron founding team of The Romero Catholic Academy have a long history in the healthcare industry and leadership positions. They both attended the University of Birmingham where they studied healthcare leadership. These experienced educators have worked in various capacities in the healthcare field including at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. This experience has given them a wealth of knowledge and insight into how to provide quality healthcare education.
