Alan Tang is a dedicated academic and emerging professional currently serving as a Foreign National Student Intern at the U.S. Department of State since September 2024 and a Research Assistant at Hong Kong Baptist University's Department of History. In addition to assisting significant projects such as the Oral History Project and Touring Ottoman Lands, Alan has taken on various leadership roles including Chair of the Undergraduate Student e-Forum and Student Representative for the Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee. With a commitment to representing academic institutions, Alan is also a Student Ambassador for the University of Leeds. The involvement in multiple organizations, ranging from the Oxford University Hong Kong Scholars Association to the International Team for the Study of Security Verona, reflects a strong engagement with both local and international issues, particularly in the field of history. Alan is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Hong Kong Baptist University and will also study History and Medieval Studies at the University of Leeds in early 2024.
