John F. W. Rogers

John is a managing director and member of the Management Committee of Goldman Sachs, a global investment banking, securities and investment management firm. He serves as the firm’s chief of staff and secretary to the Board of Directors. He oversees Executive Administration and also is responsible for external relations functions including public, investor, and government relations.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, John was a senior fellow at the Baker Institute at Rice University (1993). He served as Undersecretary of State for Management at the U.S. Department of State (1991 to 1993), where he was responsible for the Department’s worldwide operations.
