Duncan Reddish has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and information services. Duncan started their career as a Computer Support Technician at RMJM Scotland Ltd. in 1999 and worked there until 2001. Duncan then joined the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh in 2002, where they held various roles. Duncan served as a Computer Support Technician initially and later became a Systems Administrator, responsible for system migrations and desktop support. In 2007, they transitioned to the role of ICT Services Manager, leading Service Desk operations and handling systems and storage administration. In 2019, they became the Interim Head of ICT before taking on the role of Head of Digital, Technology & Information Services in 2020. In this position, they led the digital department, collaborated with the Senior Leadership Team, and designed digital strategies for transformation. Currently, Duncan serves as the Head of Cyber Security & Digital Operations, where they ensure the security of new and existing services, advises the executive team on IT and cyber security matters, and promotes information security awareness within the organization.

Duncan Reddish attended Heriot-Watt University from 1997 to 1999, although the field of study and degree obtained during this time are not specified. Additionally, in June 2011, they obtained two certifications from Microsoft: MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuration, and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS).
