Ahsen Hussain

Ahsen Hussain is an experienced Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University since August 2017, specializing as an Oculoplastic, Orbit, and Lacrimal Surgeon and Ophthalmologist. Currently serving as an Ophthalmologist with The Royal College of Ophthalmologists since September 2014, Ahsen Hussain also completed a Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto between July 2015 and June 2022, providing oculoplastic care in the Greater Toronto Area. Previous roles include an Oculoplastic fellow and Ophthalmic Surgeon at the National Health Service and a Specialty Trainee in Ophthalmology at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital NHS Trust. Ahsen Hussain began a research fellowship at Mayo Clinic in 2013 focusing on Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery after earning an MBChB in Medicine from The University of Manchester from 1997 to 2002.
