Ansar Babu

Ansar Babu has extensive experience in the marketing and aviation industry. Ansar is currently the Director of Global Distribution & International Operations at The Royal Commission for AlUla, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, in 2021, they founded their own company called Ansar Babu Holding.

Before starting their own business, Ansar worked at Etihad Airways for many years. From 2015 to 2021, they held the role of Global Head of Marketing, leading a team of marketers and implementing successful marketing strategies, including a data-centric digital and social media strategy that generated significant online sales. Ansar also served as the Senior Manager Global Promotions from 2011 to 2015, overseeing various operational functions and increasing revenues from database marketing campaigns targeting loyalty members.

Prior to joining Etihad Airways, Ansar held positions at Aerovista as the Director of Marketing & Business Development from 2006 to 2008, and at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines as the Regional Marketing Lead for the Gulf, Iran & Pakistan from 2001 to 2006. During their tenure at KLM, they achieved impressive results, including boosting return-on-investment from tactical promotions.

Ansar Babu received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Marketing/Marketing Management from the American University of Sharjah in 2001. Ansar then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the same university, completing it in 2005. Additionally, Ansar has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Digital Marketing & Growth Hacking from Hyper Island in 2021, and certifications in Self & Time Management, Jedi Master Class Sales Training, Negotiation Skills, Project Management, ASSIST Emergency Response Program, Epiphany Campaign Management, and Personal Efficiency Program from different institutions between 2002 and 2007.
