Gordon Adam

Gordon Adam is an experienced professional with a notable background in development, communications, and business management. Currently serving as Director of Development and Deputy Chief Executive at the Royal Society of Edinburgh since June 2008, Adam has played a significant role in fostering partnerships and managing a diverse events program that benefits Scotland’s social, cultural, and economic landscape. Previously, Adam held positions including Acting Chief Executive and Director of Business Development & Communications at Scotland's National Academy, where engagement with major organizations was key. Experience also includes managing director of Axis360 Ltd, and various leadership roles at The Insider Group and Scottish Business Insider, achieving significant revenue and operational success. Adam's career began in advertising sales with Scotsman Publications and Trinity Mirror plc, complemented by an MA in History from The University of Edinburgh.
