Ruhi Chitre currently serves as a Science Policy Advisor for Asia at The Royal Society since October 2025. Prior to this role, Ruhi was a Consultant at UNESCO, contributing to the eighth edition of the UNESCO Science Report and focusing on AI, open science, and strategic planning in the Section for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy from September 2023 to August 2025. Ruhi also supported the implementation of the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science and coordinated the World Science Day for Peace and Development 2023 as an Intern during the same period. Additionally, Ruhi taught A Level physics as a Group Tutor at The Access Project and conducted research for the Ditchley Foundation as an Intern. Leadership experience includes serving as President of the International Association of Physics Students and holding various positions within academic societies. Ruhi's academic background includes degrees from prestigious institutions such as the University of Cambridge and King's College London, with a focus on international relations and war studies.
