Geoff Maites

Geoff Maites is a highly experienced and accomplished executive with expertise in finance, operations, and client management. Geoff has worked in various leadership positions in multiple industries. Most recently, they served as the Chief Financial Officer of The Safe + Fair Food Company. Before that, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Inked Bread Co. Geoff also served as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Finance and Director of Client Services at Casaplex, where they oversaw operations, finance, accounting, key relationships, and client services. Additionally, they worked as the Principal Consultant at CPG Growthcrafters and as the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CAVA Foods, where they were responsible for new business development, strategic planning, and daily operations, including financing, product development, in-house manufacturing, food safety and quality control, marketing, distribution and merchandising, supply chain logistics, and human resources. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Chief of Staff and Associate in Technology Consulting at DisputeSoft.

Geoff Maites earned a BFA in Computer Graphics and Entrepreneurship from Syracuse University in 1999-2003. Geoff later pursued an MBA in Finance and Strategy at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, which they completed in 2020-2022. Geoff also earned several certifications, including an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services in 2020 and R Programming and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2016. Additionally, they will receive a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in December 2022.
