Ioanna Morianou is a Postdoctoral Scientist at The Sainsbury Laboratory, with prior experience as an R&D Team Leader at Biocentis and a Doctoral Researcher at Imperial College London, where significant contributions included developing a high-throughput mutagenesis screen to study resistance to gene drives in malaria mosquitoes. Ioanna has also held various teaching roles, supervising laboratory practicals in multiple biological disciplines. Previous research experience includes developing CRISPR gene drive systems and studying DNA repair mechanisms. Ioanna earned a PhD in Molecular Biology from Imperial College London, following a Master of Research and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the same institution.
