The Sainsbury Laboratory
Markus Draeger is a dedicated researcher currently pursuing a PhD at The Sainsbury Laboratory since September 2019. Prior to this, Markus held the role of Scientific Researcher at Tropic from October to December 2022 and completed a Master's thesis project at the John Innes Centre from February to August 2019, supported by the European Union’s Erasmus+ scholarship program. Markus gained valuable experience as a Student Research Assistant at The University of Bonn from February 2018 to January 2019, where responsibilities included managing greenhouse propagation and conducting maize crossings and genotyping tasks. Markus holds a Master of Science in Agronomy and Crop Science from The University of Bonn, completed in August 2019, and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Westfälische Hochschule, obtained in October 2017.
