Liane Matherne

Manager, Donor Stewardship at The San Diego Foundation

As Manager of Donor Stewardship, Liane works to show appreciation and gratitude to the Foundation’s donors and to demonstrate the impact of their generous philanthropy. Liane enjoys creatively developing and implementing a stewardship program that engages donors and connects them to the community and the Foundation’s mission.

Prior to joining The San Diego Foundation, Liane served as Senior Development Specialist at San Diego Zoo Global. In her stewardship role, she planned and coordinated meaningful experiences, tributes, and acknowledgments to help build strong donor relationships. Liane also previously served as Director of Corporate and Event Marketing and Director of Supported Employment at Easter Seals Southern California.

Liane has lived in San Diego for over twenty years and enjoys the community and the outdoors. She received a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from California State University, Fullerton.
