Stephen Council

Stephen Council is a tech reporter at SFGATE, a position held since January 2023. Previously, Stephen gained experience through various internships, including roles as an editorial intern at The Information, reporting intern at The Wall Street Journal, and investigations intern at CNBC. Stephen served as a reporter, In Focus editor, and social media editor at The Daily Northwestern, contributing from October 2018 to June 2021. Additional internships include audience intern at CalMatters and production aide at Students Publishing Company. Stephen co-founded tendr. chicken and completed a radio internship at WHRO Public Media. Stephen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University, where studies were completed from 2018 to 2022.
