Dean Takehara

Dean Takehara is currently a copy editor at The San Francisco. Dean has previously worked as a proofreader and production associate at Safeway, Epocrates, Inc., and Demand Studios. At Safeway, they were responsible for proofreading Excel spreadsheets and digital sales coupons. At Epocrates, they proofread product descriptions of pharmaceuticals that appeared on physicians' iPhones and iPads. And at Demand Studios, they worked on 500- 3,000-word general information articles, edited them to make them more concise and readable, and ensured that they were free from grammar, punctuation, and syntax errors.

Dean Takehara graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a B.A. in journalism.
