Rebecca King

Rebecca King is a seasoned media and communications professional with extensive experience in both public and third sectors. Currently serving as Media Manager for the Scottish Government since June 2022, Rebecca oversees communications in the Finance and Economy division. Prior roles include Policy Officer and External Affairs Officer at Citizens Advice Scotland, and a position as Sales & Event Designer at Hickory Food, where an emphasis on environmentally-friendly practices was a key achievement. Rebecca has also held various communications roles at Aberdeenshire Council, contributing to the promotion of Culture and Sport services and managing internal and external communications. Previous experience includes serving as Press Officer for the Scottish Liberal Democrats and as a Fundraising and PR Assistant for St Andrew's First Aid. Rebecca holds a Master of Arts degree in Russian and Modern History from the University of St Andrews.
