The Seattle Times
Mike Reicher is an experienced investigative reporter currently working for The Seattle Times since January 2020, while also serving as a lecturer at the University of Washington since March 2022, co-teaching a Data Reporting course focused on investigative journalism within the Department of Communication. Prior to this, Reicher held the position of data reporter at the Tennessean from June 2016 to January 2020 and worked as an investigative reporter for the Southern California News Group between April 2014 and June 2016. Additional reporting roles include positions at the Orange County Register and Los Angeles Times Community News, as well as serving as a business editor/reporter for the Orange County Local News Network. Reicher interned at The New York Times' Metro Desk in 2009. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Interactive Journalism and Urban Affairs from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and a Bachelor's degree in Communications Studies from UCLA.
