Laura McGhee

Laura McGhee has a diverse work experience in the field of aviation. Laura started their career in 2012 as an Improvisation Instructor at The Second City. Simultaneously, they worked as an Actor/Writer, creating the web series "Lady Pilot." In 2015, Laura became a Certified Flight Instructor at Baymark Inc. Laura then worked as a Pilot for CI Jets from May 2021 to November 2021 and later joined Century Jets as a Pilot from November 2021 to April 2022. Prior to these roles, they served as a First Officer at United ExpressJet from July 2019 to October 2020. Laura also worked as a Flight Instructor at Glendale Community College in 2018 and Mach 1 Aviation from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, they have experience as a Corporate Pilot at Desert Jet in 2016 and as a Pilot & Flight Instructor at Encore Flight Academy from 2012 to 2013.

Laura McGhee's education history includes an Honours B.A. in French Language and Literature from The University of Western Ontario, which they completed between 1989 and 1992. During this time, they also pursued a Baccalaureat in francais comme langue seconde at Universite Laval from 1991 to 1992. In 2023, they are expected to obtain a Master's degree in Education from Alliant International University, with completion scheduled for 2024. Additionally, Laura has obtained certifications such as the Borghese Skydiving Certificate - 17 solo freefalls, the Certified Scuba Diver certification from PADI, and a Grade 10 Piano Certification from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Laura also holds an Ontario boatcraft operator certification.
