Jamie Caicedo has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. They began their career as an Office Assistant for The Great Potential Liberty Partnership Program at The Research Foundation for SUNY, where they assisted in providing critical thinking and study skills to middle and high school students.
Following this, Jamie worked at Purchase College, SUNY, in multiple positions including Resident Assistant, Community Assistant, and Summer Resident Assistant. They also served as a Social Media Marketing Intern during this time.
Jamie then joined City Year as a High School Reading Interventionist, helping students improve their reading skills.
Their most recent experience includes roles at The SEED School of Miami, where they have served as a Student Life Counselor, Team Leader, and Assistant Director of High School Student Affairs. They also briefly held the position of Interim Director of High School Student Affairs. Currently, Jamie is the Head Dean of School Culture & Climate at The SEED School of Miami.
Throughout their career, Jamie has focused on empowering and supporting students academically and socially, with a strong commitment to education and personal growth.
Jamie Caicedo completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a double major in Arts Management and Sociology, as well as a minor in Gender Studies, from Purchase College, SUNY. In addition, Jamie also obtained certifications in Well-Managed Schools Consulting from Boys Town, CPR/First Aid Training from Emergency University, and Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect from the Florida Department of Children and Families.
