Thomas Doering has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries. Thomas started their career as a Lead Research Engineer at Boeing, where they designed, built, and operated a prototype of a ground-based laser system. Thomas then gained experience in the construction field as a Field Engineer and Project Manager at Bechtel and Babcock & Wilcox, where they were responsible for new build power plants and Yucca Mountain projects. Thomas also worked as a Project Manager at AREVA NP, focusing on project management, business development, and technical expertise. Thomas later joined Mesa Associates, Inc / URS as the Director of Projects / Engineering, where they developed an expanded client base and established a nuclear division. Thomas then transitioned to Duke Energy Corporation as a Project Director/Program Manager, overseeing various projects. Currently, they are the Director of Engineering and Projects at The SEFA Group, leading initiatives in converting ponded coal ash to a useful Flyash for strengthening concrete.
