Cristina De Leon

Ms. De Leon is a Senior Vice President and Senior Health Consultant in Segal’s Chicago office with over 18 years of experience in the retail pharmacy, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), and health benefits consulting industries. She leads the Benefit Audit Solutions (BAS) Practice. Ms. De Leon is a member of Segal’s National Rx Consulting Group.

Prior to joining Segal, Ms. De Leon was a Pharmacy Audit Specialist in the Pharmacy Benefit Operations department of a provider-owned PBM. She served the PBM’s largest client, a national Managed Medicaid/Medicare provider, as well as other commercial clients in Puerto Rico. Her role consisted of analyzing network pharmacies’ claims, developing algorithms, initiating financial charge-backs, recommending terminations, and developing a concentrated audit program.
