Tatiana Arias

Research Botanist at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens

Tatiana Arias is a research botanist currently employed at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens since November 2021. Prior to this role, Tatiana served as an associate researcher at the Colombian Orchid Society from 2019 to November 2021 and led the Comparative Biology Group at CiB from March 2016 to August 2019. Tatiana also coordinated research projects at BIOS - Colombia's Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from March 2015 to January 2016. Academic experience includes a postdoctoral research position at The University of Hong Kong from January 2013 to October 2014. Tatiana earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia between 2007 and 2012 and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 2005 to 2007.
