Shruti Desai

Shruti Desai is a seasoned costume designer currently working with Shakespeare Theatre Company since September 2018, and has been a designer for SHRUTI'S DESIGNS since March 2016. In addition to these roles, Shruti contributed as one of the designers for DC Fashion Week 2016 and has held positions as office manager and marketing at Smile Plus Dentistry since June 2015. Furthermore, Shruti is recognized as a featured artist at both Harrisburg Fashion Week 2015 and RAW - Natural Born Artists, where participation in a Seattle fashion show occurred. With experience as a freelance stylist, designer, and personal shopper since February 2008, Shruti also showcased talent as a fashion designer at Philadelphia Fashion Week in September 2019. Previous experience includes personal banking at Woodforest National Bank and customer service management at Kohl's. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from the Art Institute of San Francisco, earned from 2005 to 2009.
