Bill Knight

Bill Knight has held various roles in the technology industry since 1994. Bill began their career as a Computer Scientist/ATG at Adobe Systems. In 1998, they became a Dev Lead at Microsoft Visio. In 2002, they were appointed CTO of Attenex. From 2003 to 2004, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Trumba Corporation, where they were the architect and primary developer for their mail system. From 2007 to 2012, they held the roles of Managing Director -- Technology Labs and Director of Research and Architecture at FTI/Attenex. During this time, they also acted as CEO of Percognate, leading startup activities for developing B2B software solutions for use in large-scale document categorization and decision making. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Principal Machine Learning Scientist at Ubix Labs. Bill currently holds the role of Director of Machine Learning at The Shipyard Inc. and Principal Machine Learning Scientist at FeatureSelection.net.

Bill Knight attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a Ph.D/ABD in Cognitive Science.
